This program will provide high school students with a full scholarship as well as a formal part time job according to labor regulations.

“Rescatando talentos”
2.What will it do?
This program will provide high school students with a full scholarship as well as a formal part time job
according to labor regulations.
This program will also include a community project to be developed by the students.
3.Who/What will it benefit?
The program will be focused on students that are at risk of not graduating from High School, as well
as seeking to determine the underlying causes of this phenomenon.
The program will be focused on talented students who are successful in school and students who can
play a leadership role in their communities.
The program will focus on low-income communities in the San Jose area.
4.How will it be implemented?
Chosen schools will undergo a screening process designed to identify the ideal student candidates for
this program.
The institution will provide a full scholarship; however, the student will have to start giving back to
the project through their community projects.
The program will be developed as part of the current Clinica Biblica social program, with an
independent organization and separate funding.
5.What is my role?
My basic role in this project will be:
1. Fund raising for the program.
2. Identifying the schools to be included in this program.
3. Identifying the companies that will be offering the part-time jobs.
4. Organizing meetings where students can share their experiences in this program.
5. Establishing relations with Ministry of Education, and current government program
“Avancemos”, which provides scholarships to students.
6. How will it be measured?
The results will be measured by the following indicators:
1. Number of students enrolled in the program.
2. Number of companies enrolled in the program.
3. Success rate of the program: number of active students/total students enrolled.
4. Number of community projects organized by the students.
5. Fund rising goal: x goal amount/funds raised
6. Satisfaction index of companies
7. Satisfaction index of students
7. Does it meet the criteria for projects laid out in the project descriptor?
I believe it does meet the project criteria for the following reasons:
1. It really engages my personal call for giving something back to society.
2. It is a project that focuses on a pressing need in my country and a great opportunity to
create a highly skilled and educated work force.
3. This project will be a life-changing experience for students, where they can share their
goals, their pitfalls, and their vision of a better community and a better world.
4. This project will move CR into the next stage of development, where innovation is the key
factor to improve CR competitiveness.
8.Why is it worthy of ALI/ILI?
This project is worthy of CALI because it is providing communities with a viable option for developing
future leaders in their countries.
This project will teach students what success is and how to make a difference in their society.
As part of the competitiveness process, higher education and training, is crucial for economies that
want to move up the value chain beyond simple production processes and products.
It is worthy of CALI because we are moving from success to significance.
