While at PRONicaragua, she worked closely with various government and private institutions in Nicaragua in efforts to draw foreign investment to the country. Before joining PRONicaragua, Ms. Rivas served as Senior Strategic Media Planner at multi-national advertising agency McCann-Erickson in New York City and Buenos Aires. While at McCann-Erickson, she managed accounts such as Coca-Cola and Starmedia. In New York, Ms. Rivas was responsible for overseeing the agency’s network in Latin America while managing quality standards and service for its international clientele. During her post in Buenos Aires, Ms. Rivas was responsible for more than USD$40 million in media investment. Ms. Rivas holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communications Arts and Sciences from Queens College and a Masters in Business Administration from the Harvard Business School. She was born in Granada, Nicaragua and currently resides in Managua with her family.
