Jaqueline Foglia

Director of External Relations at Zamorano University, Honduras, a private international organization that develops leaders through a rigorous learning by doing education and contributes to the economic development of Latin America through projects and applied research. Jackie served as an officer in the Honduran Army in several positions and has served in senior management positions for the Alcon Group (Cargill Corporation). She was Sub-Secretary of State for the Tourism and owned a consulting firm that provides guidance in international business focusing on attracting foreign investment. She was a negotiator in the free trade agreements between Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Mexico, Dominican Republic and the U.S. (DR- CAFTA). Jackie is an active participant in many business and cultural organizations. She is a graduate of the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, N.Y. She earned a Fulbright Scholarship to obtain a M.A. in International Relations and Economy at the School of Advanced International Studies of Johns Hopkins University in Washington, D.C. In 1994 she was chosen as an outstanding young leader for the new millennium by Time magazine.
