María Isabel Luján

Maria Isabel LujanPartner, Quiñones, Ibargüen & Luján, S.C., where she focuses on corporate law, international business transactions, mergers and acquisitions, and international financings. Also serves as member of several boards of directors of Guatemalan companies and has taught Commercial Law at Universidad Francisco Marroquín in Guatemala. Co-founder, board member and pro-bono legal advisor of Fundación Proyecto de Vida, a non-profit organization that promotes the GuateAmala Movement; co-founder, board member and pro-bono legal advisor of Asociación Civil Cuatro Grados Norte; and, board member of the Camara Oficial Española de Comercio en Guatemala. Earned a Master in International and Comparative Law (LLM) from Vrije Universiteit Brusel (Belgium), a Master in Comparative Jurisprudence (MCJ) from New York University School of Law as a Fulbright Scholar, and graduated as attorney-at-law, notary public and licentiate in juridical sciences from the Law School of Universidad Francisco Marroquín (Guatemala). María Isabel is a Fellow of the Central America Leadership Initiative and the Aspen Global Leadership Network.
