Also serves as member of several boards of directors of Guatemalan companies and has taught Commercial Law at Universidad Francisco Marroquín in Guatemala. Co-founder, board member and pro-bono legal advisor of Fundación Proyecto de Vida, a non-profit organization that promotes the GuateAmala Movement; co-founder, board member and pro-bono legal advisor of Asociación Civil Cuatro Grados Norte; and, board member of the Camara Oficial Española de Comercio en Guatemala. Earned a Master in International and Comparative Law (LLM) from Vrije Universiteit Brusel (Belgium), a Master in Comparative Jurisprudence (MCJ) from New York University School of Law as a Fulbright Scholar, and graduated as attorney-at-law, notary public and licentiate in juridical sciences from the Law School of Universidad Francisco Marroquín (Guatemala).
