Currently, working as General Director of its own company. The company is dedicated to produce and to trade agricultural and agro industrial goods with total sales of US $ 600,000.00 during the year 2008. During 2009 sales will double. Before October 15th, Brenes worked for five years as General Director of The Producers And Exporters Association, APEN. During that period, the organization reached its breakeven point and became for the first time auto sustainable. Services Sales increased 150%. Moreover, APEN managed more than 7 million dollars coming from different donors. Its membership increased from 60 to 300 members. Jorge Brenes is currently an active member of the Boards of Rural Development Institute and the International Airports Nicaraguan Company. He is an agronomist from Zamorano, Honduras and also has a Master Degree in Agricultural Economics from The Ohio State University.
